SPP

The Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (SPP) is a public organisation made up of highly-qualified specialists in the spheres of individual, group, couple, and family psychoanalytic psychotherapy, who share the goals and professional standards of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (EFPP). The SPP sections boast the membership in EFPP, and the membership criteria of our Society fully meet the highest international educational standards  set by EFPP (like theoretical education, personal psychotherapy, management of training clinical cases under a long observation/supervision of training analysts).

The goal of our Society is to make the method of treatment and psyche cognition developed by Sigmund Freud in the late 19th century, which has evolved into one of the most influential and academic psychotherapeutic branches ever since, accessible to a wide audience, to which it may be of help and interest – both to those people who are in need of psychological aid to resolve their difficulties and to those ones who strive to cognite their interior lives.

Since the establishment of SPP back in 2002, more than 100 specialists in the field of mental health have become its members, who stick to the principles of ethics in their practice and observe the highest professional standards due to a constant exchange of clinical experience within specialised groups, at seminars, and conferences. The sections work as constantly functioning and open venues for discussion of the clinical practice of their members as well as of modern approaches to psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
